Hi! 👋  I'm Liz, the founder of OmChitta Yoga. 

Like many others, I was initially drawn to yoga for the fitness aspect, I wanted to get super strong and be flexible enough to do the splits and "other cool things". All of these things came with time, but the best experience from my practise often came AFTER my practise. 

The physical component of yoga (the postures - known as asana) challenges your mind to stay focused and unite with your body through movement undertaken with a constant awareness of the breath and the bandhas (you will learn more about these later!). The end result is that we become more relaxed and focused, this then enables us to get started on our journey to complete bliss (aka. Samadhi - Deepak Chopra has explained Samadhi pretty well in this article: https://chopra.com/articles/the-3-levels-of-samadhi ).

I have created OmChitta to share the joy of Yoga in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. My goal is to introduce you to yoga as the holistic system that it is and hopefully spark your passion and journey
