Service Description

This four week course will provide you with the foundations of the physical practice of yoga. Yoga is much more than the asanas (postures), however it is said that through the asanas we are able to prepare the body for the higher limbs of yoga. You will be provided with a take home pamphlet containing instructions to perform the most commonly practiced asanas (postures) and their sanskrit names (for example Downward dog, Warrior 1, 2, 3, chair pose etc) that you can use to guide your practise for years to come. Importantly you will be introduced to the essential “invisible” aspects of yoga, the breath and the bandhas. The invisible aspects protect you from injury and allow you to delve deeper into a pose and your body. This course will assist you to begin your practise with confidence and ease. The class is limited to 8 participants ensuring you can receive individualised guidance and instruction.
